Biography
Elizabeth Hobson is an attorney with McClain Law Group, PLLC, and practices immigration law. She is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Kentucky Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ms. Hobson has experience representing clients in obtaining employment-based visas, religious visas, and family-based visas. She has represented clients before USCIS, CBP, AAO, BIA, and EOIR.
Ms. Hobson graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2016. While in law school, she was the Vice-President of the Federalist Society and was a witness for the Moot Court Intrastate Trial Team 2015. She clerked for McClain DeWees, PLLC, for two years before passing the bar. Ms. Hobson was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa.
In 2012, Ms. Hobson graduated with a B.A. in history from Bellarmine University. She also minored in chemistry and art. Ms. Hobson was a member of the Bellarmine Mock Trial team and served as President of the team during her Senior year at Bellarmine University. She received the Outstanding Witness at American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) Opening Round Championships in 2012 and the Bellarmine University Mock Trial Senior Award in 2012.
Before attending law school, Ms. Hobson worked at Old National Bank as a Personal Banker and The Merton Institute for Contemplative Living as the Administrative Assistant. Ms. Hobson currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her husband and her two pets.
